Difference between general physics and basic physics?

I am a high school sophomore planning to take a dual enrollment course in physics at a local community college. I have taken algebra 2, but not pre-calculus. What is the difference between basic physics and general physics? Is basic physics, algebra based? Will I be awarded high school credit for that course?

Probably any college course will assume some familiarity with calculus. You will want to ask the professor about how much calculus the workload is. (If a physics course does not depend on calculus, it is confusing to everyone. If it does depend on calculus, and you know calculus, it tends to become much more lucid.)

You need to read the course catalog. If that doesn’t answer your questions, ask an academic counselor (about credit questions) or the professor (for course content questions).

general physics means the physics which we use in the daily life.basic physics means the physics from which we learn the physics
