I need to identify plants for my Biology class?

I need to identify plants for my Biology class, can anyone direct me to a site where i can identify them by characteristics of the leaf. I have heard of a few sites like this but i have been unable to locate them.

It’s usually easiest to find sites for trees, but even easier to get a tree id book from the library — Peterson’s field guides are good, as is the Golden Guide to Trees, as well as more complex books like Elias’s Trees of North America.

On the net, try searching with terms like:
    trees [statename]
    or
    weeds [statename]

If you’re looking for general plant book for the eastern US, try the Peterson’s Guide to Wildflowers and/or Newcomb’s wildflower book.

Here is one I use but it’s only for weeds. Maybe they have a more general section there.
