I understand that some geologists may need to know physics for planetary studies but for the rest of us 90% who are not planning on conducting planetary research, why do we need so many Physics credits for a Geology major?

Is there any way I can appeal to the department to allow me to supplement Chemistry credits in exchange for Physics?

I’m currently in school for environmental science and, although I know I want to do marine biology, I’m not sure what I want to do with it. I am really interested in conservation, generally helping the animals, and research (but I hate chemistry for the most part, which i why I’m not doing marine biology or biology- I can’t do the organic stuff). Does anyone have some ideas on how I could use this degree in the marine biology field?

I’m currently a Medical Technology/ Clinical Lab Science major. I’ve been told however that this job doesn’t pay very well, with odd hours and sometimes unpleasant working conditions. I KNOW for a fact I want to do lab work, but I’m more interested in a lot of diagnostics and research. What would be a good career for someone who is more biology (not chemistry) minded, wants to work in a lab, likes to figure out the causes of things such as disease or genetic abnormalities, and how to diagnose it and fix it, and still make good money?

What is the exact meaning of Biology? In my biology course we do all kinds of math and chemistry, so I want to know what exactly is Biology.

How does studying Chemistry along with Biology broaden one’s views with regards to science? Explain please.

I am planning on doing a double major in
Biology(B&MB) and Chemistry. Since there are overlapping isn’t possible to minor like in Spanish? what’s your opinion?
