If you major in biology or another science field, will a lot of your work be lab work?

I have heard that if you have a biology degree and don’t go to med school, most of your job opportunities will be working in a lab. I looked at the research projects that other seniors did for biology, and all of them involved lab work, as do most of the research projects that the professors do. Also, most health fields — like pharmacy, dentistry, medical … even though I am not interested in them require a certain amount of lab work.
