What plans are there for private space travel?
It is sad that NASA is about to launch the last space shuttle soon, with such a rich history we, as the Human race have had with space travel it is almost as if they are ending history as we know it, with that being said it does raise the question, what’s next? I know that Virgin is planning commercial space travel which is awesome but are there any privately owned companies planning to go up to the ISS or even the moon for research purposes? If they’re planning commercial space travel, why not go even further and try to colonize space?
What would happen to a space ship that ran out of fuel?
If a space ship runs out of fuel while drifting through space, it can never stop or slow down unless it hits something.
So if NASA developed the fastest space ship yet, and launched into space and something went wrong, resulting in it running out of fuel, how far would they go to rescue it? Would they just let it go?
How many miles would a space shuttle have to go above earth to be completely unaffected by earth's gravity?
Assume that the space shuttle is just an average NASA shuttle. By "completely unaffected" by gravity, I mean that it would be able to just keep on going at the same speed indefinitely [assuming it never came into contact with other gravitational sources], because there was no friction or gravity [for example, if you jumped off the shuttle at whatever altitude you specify, you would just keep on going forever].
okay, I know that nothing can be completely unaffected by gravity. Just give me the altitude where the effect of EARTH’s gravity will be virtually zero/negligable, and you could do the things specified in the question.
How does the nuclear chemistry of outer space relate to other branches of science?
like for example, NASA studies astronomy as well as nuclear chemistry. what else does the nuclear chemistry of space relate to? and why?
What should he take up in astronomy Field?
My cousins is a super genius kid in his class and wants to get into astronomy. He loves electronics and building electronic items . What should he take up to get into astronomy Field like he wants to be an engineer he says and loves to work in NASA. Can you say what he should specialize? He is still 14 years old.
How will a boomerang perform in the space station?
A boomerang depends on air flow (which will be the same in the space station) and on gravity (zero gravity in the space station).
This question is absolute irrelevant, but I would like to know. NASA never reacted when I asked this question, so maybe this community can help.
