Why do space shuttle rocket returning to the earth from outer space catch fire and explode?

I’ve seen it in a lot in movies. Things that fall from outer space catch fire when they get near to the earth. Why is that?

What happens to the space shuttle rocket and boosters?

That rocket that the space shuttle is strapped to when it lifts off – what happens to that thing once the shuttle’s in flight? I know the side booster things fall off first, and later the whole rocket detaches. But where do they land? In the water, I’m guessing, but if the space shuttle is way up in outer space by the time the rocket parts fall away, how can they be sure that the parts will land in the water and not on a city or something?

What is quickest way to travel in the space?

We always talk about space travel and lots of films about outer space and all. But how much our science has achieved till now? With known methods how much time would we really take to reach to nearest star? What are known obstacles?

How does a space shuttle in outer space obey the law of conservation of momentum.?

The law of conservation of momentum states that any engine which uses no reaction mass cannot accelerate the centre of mass of a spaceship (changing orientation, on the other hand, is possible). Yet the same law does not explain how the space ship is able to navigate in empty space, where it has no mass to refer to. Is spaceship in deep space an open system or a closed system? How does the reaction mass affect empty space if it is an open system? Does it obey the law of conservation of momentum when in outer space?

How can a space ship travel outer space ?

How can a space ship travel trough outer space since there is no atmosphere or anything else. Where does the propulsion system "push" to move the rocket ?

How can the rovers survive to the outer space conditions? Why when you send a laptop in the outer space?

Why when you send a laptop in the outer space it disintegrates?
How could the rover Voyager 1 reach one light-year? How can the rovers survive to the outer space conditions and travel so far without disintegrating and send us information from light-years away?
What is the source of their energy?
Why only Russia and USA know how to build them and other countries don’t know?
