I’m interested in helping out with the environment when i get older, and was wondering what the difference was between an environmental scientist and an environmental physicist. It doesn’t have to be really specific, i’m just looking for general differences, and please no "one deals with science while the other with physics", because that isn’t really true…

I know nano-science is mostly a chemistry discipline (physical chemistry to be precise) with fermionic structures, but I just wanted to know: What branch of physics would mostly cover the topics of nano-science and nanotechnology? Condensed matter physics or quantum physics? I was thinking condensed matter with bosonic structures and all, but since quantum physics can cover many disciplines, I’m not even sure at all.

Are we missing "signals" that the earth is giving us? Should we be focusing more on science and mother nature than we have been?

I have to do a project for geophysical science and the topic is finding an interest/hobby I have and say how the scientific principles of Physics that apply to the interest/hobby. I chose listening to music (I’m putting on the poster "Listening To The Music Of The Doors") and I don’t know which principles of Physics are applied to this and how. Can someone help me?

We always talk about space travel and lots of films about outer space and all. But how much our science has achieved till now? With known methods how much time would we really take to reach to nearest star? What are known obstacles?

I am a junior in high school and I have noticed that I take a strong interest in biology, I like science and I think that biology is the most interesting to me. Please help me.
