How much space is between our solar system and the next closest one?
How much space is between planetary systems? I think the next closest one is Alpha Centauri. How far is that once you leave the solar system? I know that voyager spacecraft left our solar system and is somewhere in deep space; can it ever get to another solar system? or are they all just too far away?
What kind of sensors do we use to track orbiting and deep-space spacecraft?
I know that space tracking radar exists, but how far out in space can it see, and where are some of the sites located?
As opposed to close spacecraft near the Earth, is there something we could track a spacecraft with that was much farther away (such as if ET should someday enter our solar system with a huge spaceship)?
Satellites and space-based radar and optical devices? Or earth-based radar and radio stations, or both?
What is the difference from solar system and Ptolemy's astronomy?

What is the importance of traveling into space?
Yes, space travel has led to some technological advancements for the PC and whatnot- but those advancements could have been made faster had the money used for space funding was just directed into technology.
As for needing to research another living space to compensate for overpopulation- what are we going to do? Just keep expanding throughout the solar system? Eventually we’ll meet a wall- it’s not about expansion, it’s about being responsible and controlling ourselves. We already know there’s no chance for life on the planets currently, so why is money being spent to travel to space to study its history? If they were planning on expanding, shouldn’t they be spending money to build technology to sustain humans on the moon or other planets
