The average speed of an orbiting space shuttle is 20,100 mi/h. The shuttle is orbiting about 131 mi above the Earth surface. Assume the radius is 3963 mi. How long does it take to circle the earth in h.

That rocket that the space shuttle is strapped to when it lifts off – what happens to that thing once the shuttle’s in flight? I know the side booster things fall off first, and later the whole rocket detaches. But where do they land? In the water, I’m guessing, but if the space shuttle is way up in outer space by the time the rocket parts fall away, how can they be sure that the parts will land in the water and not on a city or something?

I want to know how fast a space shuttle can top off at? If it is in space, there shouldn’t be anything to stop it’s acceleration, should it? Therefore, the shuttle should accelerate to near light speeds. Correct me if I’m wrong. I would like math to support your answer.
When you start getting near that speed, the effect of the Theory of Relativity starts kicking in. I know that.. You don’t go invisible, you dissapear from one dimension to another. So you say it is possible?

After the space shuttle retires,
will the Orion spacecraft dock at the same docking node of the ISS as the shuttle did?

Or will the docking node be replaced to align for the Orion docking?
How will the Low Impact Docking System be delivered to the ISS if the shuttles soon be retired?

From what I remember, the turbo rangers hijack a space shuttle, and use it to go into space; where they subsequently join the red space ranger on his astro ship.

Then later in the series this astro is used as a megazord, and the space shuttle becomes its head.

But I do not remember then ever explaining why the space shuttle could transform into the head.

After all, wasn’t it just an ordinary space shuttle ?

compared to the speed of light i would like to now how fast the current space shuttle travels, how fast the space craft winner of project X travels and how fast the successor to the space shuttle will travel.
