What are the physics of a lacrosse shot?
I’m having a tough time with this, I need to know the physics of a lacrosse shot. Preferably velocity, momentum, speed, and acceleration. Im only in 9th grade keep it simple, but my teacher is very picky. Other suggestions than a lacrosse shot would also work, it just has to relate to lacrosse.
What is a specific physics scene from a movie?
I’m doing a school project and I need a specific scene from a movie that has to do with physics. I need to prove that the physics is wrong and therefore impossible. I need to go with something simple, such as force, acceleration, velocity, momentum, impulse, circular motion or projectile motion. I am desperate. Need answers ASAP. Thanks!
Do you have any SPECIFIC scenes from movies? I only have certain formulas.
Physics…?
How are acting two forces which are affectring on masses weighting 3 and 5kg, if the both masses have the same velocity?
physics……?
hey ppl i need help to do dese physics question….
Q1. a body travels a distance of 3km towards east, then 4km towards north and finally 9km towards eas:
1. wat is the total distance traveled?
2. wat is the resultant displacement?
Q2. derive the formula "v=u+at" and "S=ut+1/2at²
Q3. a motorboat starting from rest on a lake accelerates in a straight line at a constant rate of 3.0 ms¯² for 8.0S. how far does the boat travel during this time/
Q4. derive relationship v²-u²=2as
Q5. wat do u mean by uniform circular motion.give examples.
Q6.a body is moving uniformly in a straight line wid a velocity of 5m/s. find graphicaly the distance covered by it in 5 secs.
(sum ques may require a diagram ..if u can show the diagram, it will much better…thx)
How do you measure velocity in the void of space?
Speed is measured relative to a stationary object. Velocity is determined by calculating the time it takes to travel a known distance from a stationary object. A cars speedometer measures speed relative to the stationary ground it is traveling on. An airplane measures speed by the same thing, by how long it takes to travel between points of a known distance on the ground.
So when it is said that a spacecraft is hurtling at 46,000 miles per hour beyond the orbit of Pluto towards the next star, what is that speed being compared against? In that part of space, there is no stationary object to calculate velocity. Is it still being compared to a stationary object on the surface of the Earth? At that distance, the Earth is traveling through space in orbit around the sun, which is traveling in orbit around the galaxy, which is traveling through space around who knows what.
So, what is the spacecraft traveling at 46,000 miles per hour from or towards that can be measured?
How can physics be used in technology such as computers and laptops?
are these any physics concepts used in the use of computers? i am creating a FAKE new invention which is my homework assignment. i just have to write about it and the different physics involved in it. i am trying to write about the wavelengths, velocity, and frequency. also the lenses, lighting, and electricity involved.
