What Does The earth moves at different speeds depending on who you are mean?
For History I have to choose a African Proverb and explain what it means. I have chosen The earth moves at different speeds depending on who you are. But I don’t know what it means.
Please Help Me
it may mean something about how each life progresses at different speeds…. the life of a man, is birth, youth, procreation, old age and death…. and that happens over a span of say, sixty years…. but the same progression happens for a wolf in say, 12 years…. or a butterfly in less than one year!…..
even just for man, those living in warm areas have long seasons that ‘move’ a lot slower than those of the more northernly folks who might only have three months to plant, hunt, and harvest food that would last them the rest of the year. … for them, the Earth turns very fast….
but that seems to be more about WHERE you are than WHO you are…..
I don’t have the answer, but I hope I gave you something more to think about.in your search ….
You will need information from someone from Africa. Like other continents, there are many different cultures there and you may need to narrow your search somewhat.

The speed at which the earth spins varies upon your latitudinal location on the planet. If you’re standing at the north pole, the speed is almost zero but at the equator, where the circumference of the earth is greatest, the speed is about 1,038 miles per hour (1,670 kph). The mid-latitudes of the U.S. and Europe speed along at 700 to 900 mph (1125 to 1450 kph).
Therefore, the earth moves at different speeds depending where you are physically located on Earth.
